How we work

Not eighteen problems. Five, ranked.

We don't come back with a list of AI fixes and a fee against every one. We come back with a ranked roadmap, and ask you to commit to the first priority only.

  • Eighteen fixes, all "done" by the morning
  • A fee against every one of them
  • Shipped, then left for your team to work out

Every priority comes with its commercial consequence, the first move, an owner inside the business, and how we'll measure it.

01

Homework

We research your business and your sector before the first call, so we arrive with good questions.

Before we speak
02

Discovery

A lot of listening. Smart questions, and no bolt-on pitch.

Week 1
03

The audit

Time with your leadership and your teams. Five priorities, ranked, each with an owner and a measure.

Weeks 2 to 4
04

One priority

You commit to the first one only. We start where we can win your team's trust.

Week 5 onwards
The rule

Technology is downstream of understanding the company.

McKinsey 7S, the way we read it

A change only sticks when all seven move together. Most AI rollouts only touch one of them.

Strategy

No return case, just a tool

Bottleneck first, with a real return

Structure

A new single-person dependency

Clear owners, documented and handed over

Systems

All the focus lands here, and the knowledge still goes stale

Simple systems that fit the workflow

Style

Rolled out too fast, from the top down

Paced so it lowers the load

Staff

Overloaded by onboarding too fast

Brought with us, not left behind

Skills

Developers who barely understand what they ship

Capability built where the work needs it

Shared values

"AI is no good"

Bring the people with us

What we build

Four things we build, all of them around your team.

We don't sell a platform. We build the simple thing your business actually needs, inside the tools you already run. Here's what that looks like.

Stack simplification

Pay for what your team actually uses, and build around what stays.

  • A seat-by-seat audit of every tool, contract and overlap
  • Keep, merge, right-size or retire, with the cost of moving counted
  • Never swap subscription sprawl for bespoke sprawl

Works where you work

We build around your tools, not over them.

Your team already knows its tools. We build around the workflow and the software you pay for, and change only what earns its place. Bringing your people with us is the work.

We learn your way first

You own the workflow. We map how the work really gets done, then build around it and around your people, not around a vendor's idea of how you should work.

Change management is the work

Nothing goes live until the people using it have shaped it. We build confidence through involvement and clarity, and we treat pushback as information.

Our point of view

AI is showing every company where its systems are weak. Automating on top of them won't fix it.

Everyone is trying to automate everything at once, and it doesn't work like that. We find the one bottleneck that matters, fix it simply, and build up from there, inside your business and with your team. The work below is what that looks like.

The work

Don't take our word for it. Click through it.

Where the name comes from

From rural Kilkenny to the White House.

James Hoban grew up with very little in rural Kilkenny and became obsessed with architecture. He crossed the Atlantic, won the 1792 competition to design the President's House, and oversaw its building. When British troops burned it in 1814, he was the one brought back to rebuild it. More than two hundred years on, his walls are still standing.
